Indoor & Outdoor Family Sessions

My current rate for all family/portrait sessions is a flat $500. If adding on extended family to a larger shoot or shooting at a farther destination there may be an additional fee.

This covers both indoor and outdoor sessions in the time period it takes to capture an authentic morning or afternoon with your family (generally 1-2 hours). This might look like a picnic in nature followed by being silly and having fun, or getting cozy and baking together from the comfort of your own home.

How many pictures will we receive?

There is no set number per shoot, but it is generally between 100-200 digital images in color and black and white.

What’s the best time and location to have a session?

Lighting plays a key role in your images. Sunrise, sunset, overcast and cloudy days are ideal lighting. However, I know there can be time restrictions for a lot of families. As long as we have some variety of shade as an option the most important part of my role is capturing your family loving on each other. That can happen in a small patch of shade in a field off the freeway or a dramatic location. It is more about your family than a fancy location.

How should we dress for our family session?

I say wear whatever you feel good in. These photos are for you and you should feel like "you" when you look at them. That being said, if you are stressing about what to wear you can always bring different options and I am happy to help pick coordinating colors.
